Directions to Gulf Crest Homes office (From Corpus Christi):
From S.P.I.D in Corpus, turn left on Highway 361 (“Island Road”) and
travel approximately 17 miles. At the main light in Port Aransas
(1st light you come to in town) (Hwy 361 & Cutoff Road) turn right
and travel about two blocks to Cars & Carts on your left.
Directions to Gulf Crest Homes office (From Ferry Boat):
After you get off the ferry boat, take your first right at the light
onto Cutoff Rd (at the “Stripes” convenience store). Travel straight
through the next light approximately two blocks to Cars & Carts on
your left.
Cancellation Policy
A $60.00 cancellation/administrative fee will be charged for
any reservation that is cancelled anytime after booking with
Gulf Crest Homes. We require a 7 day notice of cancellation on all
short term rentals. We require a 30 day notice of cancellation on
all long term rentals (more than 1 calendar month). Otherwise you
forfeit your advance deposit of one night plus tax. All
cancellations are recorded in a log book as to date and time of
cancellation. There are no cancellation refunds under any
circumstance if cancellation guidelines are not met by guest.
Please note Gulf Crest Homes does not refund for early departures or
weather events unless a tropical disturbance is threatening our
area.
Hurricane Policy
To receive a full refund, an evacuation order (either voluntary or
mandatory) must be issued by the county and/or city.
If a hurricane is a direct threat to our area and an evacuation
order has been issued. Gulf Crest Homes will reimburse you for the
unused prorated portion of your planned stay.
If a hurricane is a direct threat to our area and an evacuation
order has been issued, Gulf Crest Homes will refund you 100% of your
advance deposit if you have not yet arrived.
Payment
An advance rental payment of 1 night plus tax of the total rent is
required at the time you book your reservation. We accept
MasterCard, Visa, Discover, American Express, Personal Checks, cash,
and money orders.
Rates
Rates and policies are subject to change without notice. Rates
quoted do not include the applicable lodging tax.
Housekeeping/Supplies
Your property will be cleaned and provided with fresh linens, and
towels before your arrival. You are provided with a start up package
of 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 roll of paper towels, 2
small bars of soap per bathroom, trash bags, dishwashing detergent
and liquid dish soap. We do not provide the following:
laundry detergent, daily turnover of supplies or housekeeping during
your stay.
Departure
Check-out time is 12 noon. There is a fee charged for late
departures. Your credit card will be charged $30.00 per hour for
units occupied past noon. Remember - we have to prepare this unit
for the next guests! There are no refunds for early departures.
Please notify Gulf Crest Homes 30 minutes prior to your
departure so that we can inspect the property. If for
some reason we cannot inspect the property at that time, Gulf Crest
Homes reserves the right to inspect the property within a 48 hour
period. Any damages or missing property will be accounted for
and charged to your credit card.
Departure Instructions
1. Call Management (361) 749-1655 (30) minutes prior to departure
so we can inspect the property.
2 Property must be left in the condition you found it.
3. Lock all windows and doors, turn off all lights, and turn the Air
Conditioner to 80 degrees.
4. You may leave non-perishable items in the refrigerator except
for cooked or used food is to be thrown away.
5. Please put dishes in the dishwasher and turn on or hand wash.
6. Please DO NOT strip beds as our cleaning crews will do this.
7. Please pile all dirty towels in the bathroom floor.
8. Please remove all trash from the unit. Gulf Crest Homes
charges 25.00 for trash left in any unit.
9 Please put bagged trash in cans with lids attached and take to
curb.
Inspections
Gulf Crest Homes inspects each rented unit upon departure. Although
we don’t expect damages or theft, it sometimes occurs. If damages
are found - - or towels, pillows and/or property are missing, a
retail damage price is assessed and charged against the guest’s
credit card. Deposits can be held up to 48 hours to ensure that we
can inspect your property.
Linens
Bath towels and bed linens are provided and are inventoried at the
time Gulf Crest Homes walks your unit at departure.
Condition of Property/Inventory
Guests are responsible for their own proper conduct and that of all
guests, and/or guests’ visitors, including the responsibility for
understanding and observing all policies and rules. We ask that you
leave the unit in the condition you found it in. In addition, we
have tried to describe the property and its furnishings as
accurately as possible. However, sometimes remodeling or
redecorating may occur after information has been printed. A
detailed inventory list has been prepared for each unit. Gulf Crest
Homes will conduct an inspection upon your departure. Once towels,
linens and a full inventory have been accounted for, Gulf Crest
Homes will release your deposit within 48 hours.
Occupancy Limits
The occupancy limit is the number that the unit sleeps. If you are
going to exceed this total number, it must be approved by Gulf Crest
Homes and there is a $50/per person per night fee. The property and
its facilities are for the use of registered guests only and cannot
be used for parties, or other gatherings that would cause the
occupancy limits to be exceeded.
Owner’s Closets
Each unit has an Owner’s closet which is not to be tampered with,
unlocked, or entered. Our owners take this violation very
seriously.
Lost and Found
Although we cannot be held responsible for items left behind, we do
make every effort to locate and return forgotten items to you. Found
items will be shipped UPS C.O.D., and we will place shipping charges
on a major credit card. There is an additional $25 handling fee.
Patios/Balconies and Entry areas
Patios/balconies and entry areas must be kept free from items that
could be a hazard. Barbecue pits may NOT be used on ANY DECK as this
is a fire hazard. Please put all pits on the bottom floor down wind
from the house on the concrete.
Property Availability and Adjustments
Occasionally a property which has been reserved will not be
available because of damage to the property, because the property
has been sold, or for other reasons beyond our control. When that
happens, we will make every attempt to substitute comparable
accommodations and notify you by phone or email of the change. If
comparable accommodations are not available, you will have the
option of selecting from available properties at the published rate
or receiving a complete refund of your reservation advance payment.
Keys/Remotes/Garage openers
If a guest loses keys, there is a $10.00 charge. After-hour lockout
rates are $35.00. Lost remotes are charged at $30.00 each. Lost
garage door openers are charged at $50.00.
Smoking
Our units are non-smoking units. Please be considerate of all of our
guests and step out on the patio to smoke. If it is discovered at
our departure walk-through that smoking has occurred in our unit, a
$150.00 fee is immediately charged to the guest’s credit card.
Pets
No animals or pets may be kept or allowed on the Premises by the
Guest(s). If pet(s) are found in any unit then a non-refundable
$200.00 pet charge is charged to the Guest(s) credit card. It is
strictly prohibited to bring a pet to a NO PET unit.
Trash
In most units, trash pickup is Tuesday and Friday mornings. Upon
departure, all trash must be bagged, tied and put in barrels and
taken to the curb. A $25.00 trash charge will be charged if trash is
left in property.
Safety
Safety and security is the sole responsibility of the Guests.
Owner(s) or its agents do not assume responsibility or liability for
the safety or security of the guests, or for injury caused by the
criminal acts of other persons. Guests should ensure that all doors
and windows are locked at all times, and Guest must immediately
notify Gulf Crest Homes (361) 749-1655 if any locks become
inoperative. Guest should turn off all appliances when leaving the
premises. Guest shall not smoke in bed or store any combustibles on
premises.
Fair Housing
Gulf Crest Homes complies with all Fair Housing requirements, and
will not deny any rentals because of race, color, religion, sex,
origin, handicap or family status. However, Gulf Crest Homes will
not rent to any person under the age of 25 years of age unless
accompanied by a parent or guardian.
